Since graduating from Tintern in 2012, my passion for the arts, architecture, history and politics led me to study urban planning, music and explore the world of engagement and facilitation. I am currently an urban planner and community engagement consultant working on projects across Victoria. Since school, I have always enjoyed ideas and connecting with others, and am actively involved in a range of industry organisations including the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA), Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2).

I have been lucky to be a part of TGA since it started in 2019, and President since 2022 alongside a team of great people who have followed a range of different pathways in life. No matter what you want to be when you ‘grow up’ (regardless of your age), through TGA I hope we can connect people, open doors, create spaces to ignite curiosity and help people pursue their passions – please reach out and get in touch!

Hilary also loves supporting the internal workings of the TJPF and rolling up her sleeves to help the organization run smoothly and position itself for a healthy and exciting future!

Samantha Green

Samantha is an Entrepreneur, CEO and Director with a diverse career in operational leadership and strategic execution. From her early days in hospitality, and international roles in the cruise sector, to her influential work in talent and speaker management, Sam thrives on merging sales and marketing synergies with operational excellence to create significant growth. This has seen her work for organisations across a broad range of industries in USA, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as founding her own businesses.

Driven by a passion for solving complex problems, she thrives at navigating business transformations, go-to-market strategies, and expansive scaling. Alongside her professional pursuits, she dedicates time to personal and professional development, both of which have been pivotal to enable business success.

Presently, Sam is the CEO of The CEO Circle, the leading Australian membership organisation for executives and CEOs. Alongside this role, Sam champions female leadership through hosting women’s events and mentoring programs, while also contributing to committees such as Lighthouse Foundation and Tintern Grammar Association. Beyond her career, she spends her time with her two sons, at the Mornington Peninsula, or running to a great podcast.

Alexandra Wakeley

Since graduating from Tintern it feels like I never left Uni! After completing a Master of Bioethics in 2018 I’ve worked in a variety of teaching and research positions in Australian medical schools, leading to my current position as Lecturer in Indigenous Health at Deakin University. I joined the TGA committee because I want to be able to give back to the community that helped establish the skills and values I rely on every single day both professionally and personally. At school, when I wasn’t studying you could find me enjoying all things outdoor ed, debating or social justice related- which you could say hasn’t really changed! Together with the TGA team I look forward to creating opportunities for Alumni and students to be able to learn from, collaborate with and support each other as part of the broader Tintern community.

Annabelle McKenzie

At Tintern Grammar, Annabelle found she was the most engaged and excited when she was actively contributing to the community; from volunteering with the school Fairs, to stepping into the responsibility of leadership positions, to organising gatherings for her friendship groups. Her life beyond the school walls continues to adhere to this philosophy. After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Information Technology (Professional) from Swinburne University of Technology in 2021, she walked confidently into the world of corporate technology consulting where she worked as a Business Analyst, turning the functional requirements of the business into technical instructions for the developers.

Eliza Mignot

Since leaving Tintern I have completed a Bachelor of Science and Arts at Monash University, majoring in biochemistry and psychology. I am now applying my knowledge to the world of medical research, working as a Research Assistant in Haematology Research at Monash Health. I have also been fostering my creative side, completing a minor in theatre at Monash as well as joining a Ukrainian dance company. I joined the TGA because I treasure my memories of Tintern and wanted to connect with and give back to the community that helped shape who I am today. I wanted to help foster connections within our community and the TGA provides us with a wonderful opportunity to do so.

Jodi Evans

Self-proclaimed school nerd that I am, I’m not afraid to admit how much I loved school. The friendship, laughter, learning and values have always stuck with me. The Outdoor Education program at Tintern impacted my life so profoundly that I made it my career. Be it teaching, tourism, lecturing or filmmaking – every outdoor and environmental branch of my work journey began the first time I picked up the spondonicles to light a Trangia in year 7.

Cringeworthy as it may be, the school is one of my longest standing relationships; beginning in 1991 when the socks were brown and the pool was still outdoors, continuing to present day as member of the Tintern Grammar Alumni. Being on campus still evokes a nostalgic feeling of home that I hope all Alumni have the chance to experience. This connection and deep gratitude motivate my actions on the TGA committee.
